Welcome to celebrate the Midsummer festival in the stunning landscapes of southern Saimaa, aboard the traditional lake cruiser M/S Aino. The cruise begins and ends in Mikkeli harbour, passing the Savilahti waterway past Kenkävero and Graani to Annila Selka, Kyyhkylä Selka and through the beautiful Siikasalmi to Ukonvesi, where at Heimari we turn back towards Mikkeli.
The cruise price includes the eccentric chef Ilkka Arvola, who specializes in local food and natural products as well as lake fish, who will be there to tell you about and serve the Midsummer menu he has prepared.
Chef's menu:
- Fresh green salad
- Salad of new harvest vegetables
- Roasted tomatoes and aioli
- Smoked Saimaa vendace
- Pork from Kuvala farm
- Country bread, rye bread and butter
- Saimaa fish straight from the smokehouse
- Roast lamb from Putkisalon farm
- New potatoes and wild herb sauce
- Vanilla mousse, marinated local strawberries and rye crumble
The ship has a normal selection of alcoholic and non-alcoholic products.
Tickets
The ticket price is non-refundable and does not apply to cruises other than in special cases
If a cancellation occurs due to a difficult situation, e.g. an illness, etc., the ticket seller will deduct the costs of the refund from the purchase price.
