You can board either from Mikkeli Travel Center, the charter bus stop at the market square, Mikkeli harbour or from Ristiina opposite the Fitness Center (Brahentie 11).
We will take the bus to the Varkaantaipale canal, from whose pier we will board the M/S Aino ship. We will cruise through Lake Someenjärvi, past the Kallioniemi villa built in 1896, and through the Kirkkotaipale canal from the same period to Lake Saimaa and the Astuvansalmi rock paintings, which will lead the visitor into the lives of people thousands of years ago. The Astuvansalmi rock paintings are the largest painting ensemble in the Nordic countries, and about 80 painted images have been found there. The visit to the rock paintings will take approximately 45 minutes, after which we will take a short cruise on the night water. Come on board and have a great day on Lake Saimaa!

NOTE! You can also board the bus from Ristiina instead of the Mikkeli stops. You can also come to Varkaantaipale by car and buy just the cruise. Cruise tickets: Varkaantaipale - Astuvansalmi - Varkaantaipale can be purchased from the ship's cafeteria for €38 / person (children €20).

Children 3 years and under travel free of charge
The ticket price includes: Round-trip transportation from Mikkeli by M/S Aino charter bus, cruise on Lake Saimaa and guided tour of the rock paintings.
If no purchases have been received for the tour by 9 am on the day of the tour, the tour will be canceled
The ticket price is non-refundable and does not apply to cruises other than in special cases. If a cancellation occurs due to a difficult situation, e.g. an illness, etc., the ticket seller will deduct the costs of the refund from the purchase price.
